I believe a trader’s results speaks more than a thousand words. Before we access a trader’s parameters (such as consistency, sortino, sharpe ratios and etc) to risk management, he/she should in the first place be profitable before we assess further.
Do consider your cost. If you have a day job, and trades on a part time basis, do consider about the man-hour spent to get you the returns you receive on a monthly or quarterly basis. If you are a full-time trader, you must consider your operating costs and all. For beginners, it is definitely about having the least exposure before making trading worth your time, the earlier one takes to acquire the skill, the earlier you could breakeven on your opportunity cost. Consider a trading coach.
On this page, I will be tracking my performance on the basis of a quarter, month, week and in real-time. The real-time trading account will be a portfolio that models momentum trades made on my personal trading account which I will also be making updates, but only via cutting and pasting.
I hope I can make this page as informational as possible, so that I will get to have fun and you get to learn something here. Cheers..
